JOB VACANCY ON MONITORING OFFICER - EARLY CHILDHOOD AT KINONDONI, DAR ES SALAAM

Duties and responsibilities:
A. Monitoring activities.
• Facilitate the program team in the development, implementation and updating of program performance plan and tools.
• Ensure records of play lab project and share with team.
• Quality control of the collected data through random verification and validations
• Analyze the collected data and discuss the findings with the relevant program teams.
• Store the data in safe and accessible systems for reference.
• Participate in the program planning and implementation activities
• Participate the development of the performance indicators and lead in the monitoring process.
• Lead in the program evaluation process document outcomes and recommendations.
• Ensure data collection, verification entry, collation ,analysis and interpretation of project data
• In collaboration with project team updated needed data in ECD tools when needed
• Ensure monthly monitoring visit to play labs and coaching Pos, AMs, play leaders about project data improvement.
• Track the implementation of the approved work plans to ensure timely delivery of services to play labs.
• Ensure data quality through reviewing of all data collection forms submitted to the office by Pos or AMs and other data collectors, identify the errors and working with data collectors to ensure that the errors are timely addressed.
• Develop monitoring plan and share with team.
B. Capacity building development to project team.
• Coordinate, support and facilitate training, workshop and meetings related to play lab in Organization, community, implementing partner and government meetings.
• Facilitate meaningful dialogue between children in play lab, care givers and communities using ECD guide as approved by government.
• Carrier out mentoring of play labs committees and parents on program monitoring on monthly basis.
• Maintain and update training data base for all training conducted within the organization including the soft and hard copy of participants list by type of training, gender, venue and dates, occupation, special needs.
C. Documentation and reporting.
• Compile statistics information for monthly, quarterly, semiannual & annual progress reports and submit timely to project manager.
• Regular maintenance of project files.
• Submission of monthly and quarterly reports as per donor agreement
• Support in the development of case study, success stories and story of change.
Any other task assigned by the management.
Work/ Educational requirements:
• Experience of one (1) year, Bachelor degree project planning, research or any other related field.
• Data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Reporting skills
• Monitoring skills.
• Capable in using analysis software, program spreadsheet, Spss, Novivo , excel.
• Ability to work with team.
• Facilitation skills.
